RainShine Foundation Australia
Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world - Nelson Mandela. This is a philosophy that motivates the volunteers behind RainShine Foundation Australia.
The focus of our work is to improve access to education, provision small community infrastructure, and provide healthcare to build future resource security for children and their families in remote communities in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRCongo). Through no fault of their own, these families have minimal opportunity to access the everyday resources that we automatically expect to receive; such as state education, health care, and to attend school in a safe, comfortable learning environment.
A World Bank estimate put the extreme poverty rate in the DRCongo at 73% in 2018. People are living on less than $2.00 a day. There is no money in villages to send their children to school, pay teachers salaries, buy school equipment, or get access to Malaria treatment.
Your donation will make a difference by enabling Democratic Republic of Congo children in remote villages to live an improved life - one where they are educated, healthy and able to contribute to the future economy of Democratic Republic of Congo.
RainShine Foundation Australia is registered with ASIC and the ACNC as a not-for-profit organisation and Charity. We also hold a Deductable Gift Reciprient (DGR) status with the Australian Taxation Office, which means that all donations $2.00 and over are tax deductable
RainShine Foundation Australia works in collaboration with RainShine Foundation USA: http://rainshinefound.com; our foundation has been involved in DRCongo projects since 2012.
